Personification

A hand reaches out from the clouds of my mind
To run his fingertips along my back
Pale and slender and deft
I am transported back, again and again
Body and soul completely
It is not so bad
I am with him now
Whenever I think of it
He is in me, dormant
Waiting patiently
Winking just outside my consciousness
Stretching his legs in the warm, circular
room of memory.
