So. There we go. That's it. The first issue.
And yes, I think it came out pretty nicely. Oh sure we could have added a few more geegaws and gimcracks. But these things need to be taken slowly. To evolve. God only knows where we'll be with this thing six months ... two years ... dare we say ten years from now?
But that's another worry for another time. For the immediate future at least, we have more poetry by Gadarene and Democritus coming up; more from Chef Troy and Ruffian; various pieces that we're still trying to decide what to do with. A veritable smorgasbord of literary jewels. We'd like to make the next issue a holiday extravaganza, so whatever holiday you celebrate, be it Christmas, Haunakah, Kwaanza, or Saturnalia; now is the time to send them in. The submission deadline for the next issue will be November 17th as we're looking at a street date of December 1.
So, we're off. All hands to the mizzen-mast, furl the sails, throw off all lines, and stop mooning the people on the dock through the portholes. We're sailing into uncharted (but not unfriendly) territory here. And all have permission to be piped aboard.
