"There must be some way out of here,"
Said the Ranger to the elf,
"There's too much confusion here,
I can't help myself.
Theoden, he thinks he's fine,
Plowmen man the wall,
None of them along the line,
Are trained to fight at all."
"No reason to get excited,"
The elf he kindly spoke.
"There are many among us
Who think the Uruk-Hai are but a joke.
But you and I, we've seen all that,
And this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now,
The hour is getting late."
All along the Helm's Deep wall,
Elves and men kept the view,
While all he women to caverns went,
Barefoot children too.
Outside in the distance,
The Uruk-Hai did growl,
Quickly they were approaching,
And the wind began to howl.
