Saruman, who wanted a ring, but was brought down by Hobbits
Saruman, wizard, in his tower,
Thought a war to bring to flower
Against the Hobbit, elf and dwarf,
Ent as well did sally forth.
His object was a ring of power,
To match those hidden in his tower
But pesky hobbits did conspire
To throw the ring deep in the fire
This caused his plans to come to naught
(As, true to tell, we think they ought)
And brought him down where he belonged,
Quite fair, considering his wrongs.
So think, young child, before you start
A war, and make sure in your heart
That lust for power does not dwell
Or you'll end up in Rivendell
